What does Video Pitch Changer do?
A semitone is one twelfth of an octave and a cent is one hundredth of a semitone. Preserve-duration mode compensates the changed sample rate with tempo filtering. Natural mode changes both sound rate and picture timestamps. Copying compatible video avoids an unnecessary picture generation loss.
How to use Video Pitch Changer
- 1Upload a video containing sound.
- 2Set semitones and optional cents.
- 3Choose preserve duration or natural speed and pitch.
- 4Export MP4 and check the sound and synchronization.
Supported inputs and outputs
Inputs
MP4, MOV, WebM with audio
Outputs
MP4 with pitch-adjusted AAC audio
Practical uses
- Prepare and review a creator recording with video pitch changer.
Browser and media limitations
- Compatible H.264 MP4 video is copied in preserve-duration mode; other cases re-encode, and large pitch shifts can sound unnatural.
- Large files can exceed browser memory. Playback and codec support differ by browser.
How local processing works
Your media is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to Tubelexity for processing. Page requests, engine downloads and privacy-filtered analytics still use the network.
Frequently asked questions
How is the pitch ratio calculated?
The frequency ratio is 2 raised to (semitones plus cents divided by 100) divided by 12. Twelve semitones doubles frequency.
Does natural mode change the video speed too?
Yes. Video timestamps and audio rate both change, keeping their durations approximately aligned.
When is the video stream copied?
Preserve-duration mode copies a detected H.264 video stream in MP4. Other inputs and natural mode are re-encoded for compatible MP4 output.
Can a silent video have its pitch changed?
No. Pitch is a property of sound. Use Add Audio to Video first if the file has no audio track.
