What does Voice Changer do?
Voice Changer runs a fixed chain of audio filters on a file you already have. Pitch uses a sample-rate shift and then restores the original length, so a deeper or higher voice does not also become longer or shorter. Speed is separate and keeps the pitch of that step. Deep, Bright, Telephone, Radio and Monster add EQ, high-pass or low-pass filters and compression. Robot uses a band-pass and tremolo. Radio adds a light bit crush. Echo uses a delay. The wet mix keeps a copy of the dry sound when it is below 100%. None of these presets copies another person's voice, and none of them synthesize new speech. Strong pitch, crush and echo settings can sound metallic or hollow. Listen to the after preview before you keep the file.
How to use Voice Changer
- 1Upload a recording and play it as the before version.
- 2Choose a preset, then adjust pitch, speed and wet mix if you need to.
- 3Export MP3, WAV or M4A and play the after version.
- 4Cancel stops the local job before a new file is created.
Supported inputs and outputs
Inputs
Local audio the browser can decode, such as MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG
Outputs
MP3, WAV, M4A
Practical uses
- Trying a deeper or brighter take of your own recording
- Making a telephone or radio-style version
- Adding a short echo without leaving the browser
Browser and media limitations
- This is not voice cloning, impersonation or speech synthesis.
- Pitch and speed are ordinary filters. They can sound metallic at the extremes.
- Echo and bit crush change the tone. They do not recover a clean voice.
- The media engine downloads on first export. A long file needs enough browser memory.
How local processing works
Your media is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to Tubelexity for processing. The media engine downloads on first export. Page navigation and analytics still use network requests.
Pitch, tempo, EQ and echo
Pitch and speed are different controls. The pitch step changes the sample rate and then time-stretches back to the original length. The speed step time-stretches without that pitch change. EQ, high-pass, low-pass, compression, tremolo and echo are added after that, depending on the preset.
A wet mix below 100% keeps an untreated copy beside the effect. That is useful for echo. It does not create a second speaker, and it does not match the recording to another person's voice.
Frequently asked questions
Does this copy someone else's voice?
No. The presets only pitch, filter, compress or delay the file you upload. They do not clone or impersonate a person.
What is the difference between pitch and speed?
Pitch changes how high the sound is and then restores the length. Speed changes how fast it plays without that pitch step.
What does wet mix do?
At 100% you hear only the effect. Lower values mix the original sound back in, which matters most for echo.
Is the recording uploaded?
No. The file stays in this browser tab. The media engine downloads on first export.
