What does Chapter & Timestamp Builder do?

Tubelexity helps creators build a formatted list of YouTube chapters from a local video or a manually entered duration. Add a chapter at the current playhead, edit titles and times, reorder entries and resolve validation issues before copying or exporting a TXT file. It does not download or scrape YouTube videos.

  2. 2Add chapters at the current playhead and write specific titles.
  3. 3Edit or reorder timestamps until validation passes.
  4. 4Copy the formatted chapters or export a TXT file.

Browser and media limitations

  • The first chapter must begin at 00:00.
  • YouTube may apply additional chapter eligibility rules.
  • Local video playback depends on browser codec support.
  • The tool does not inspect a YouTube URL.

How local processing works

Local video playback uses the browser's native media APIs. The video and chapter text remain in the browser and are not sent to Tubelexity.
