What does Pan & Zoom Video Maker do?
Pan and Zoom animates scale and position across a picture you already have. It crops and scales those pixels. It does not generate new image content, and it is not AI animation. Start and end zoom run from 1 to 2.5. Start and end X and Y are positions from 0 to 1 across the extra area that zoom reveals. The output aspect can be 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5, and the long edge can be 640, 1280 or 1920. The picture is fitted inside a larger canvas before the move, so a mismatched still is padded with your background color rather than stretched. A video move cannot be longer than the video.

Supported inputs and outputs
Inputs
A still image, or a local video
Outputs
MP4 of the pan and zoom. Video audio is optional and off by default.
Practical uses
- A slow zoom on a thumbnail or photo
- A left-to-right pan across a wide still
- A short Ken Burns move on an existing clip
Browser and media limitations
- Zoom crops the picture. It does not invent detail beyond the source pixels.
- The preview is a browser drawing of the same start and end. The file is rendered with the zoompan filter.
- A still export is silent. Video audio is kept only when you turn that option on.
- High zoom on a large frame uses a lot of memory. The picture is re-encoded.
How local processing works
Your media is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to Tubelexity for processing. The media engine downloads on first export. Page navigation and analytics still use network requests.
Frequently asked questions
Does this create new artwork?
No. The move only scales and crops the image or video you upload. It is not AI animation.
What is the difference between zoom and a crop?
Zoom chooses how much of the fitted picture is visible. The pan position chooses which part of the leftover area stays in frame. The output aspect decides the frame shape.
Why is there a background color?
The source is fitted inside the output aspect. Empty space uses the color you pick instead of stretching the picture.
Is the file uploaded?
No. The move is rendered in this browser. The media engine downloads on first export.
