Record a screen, window or tab selected in your browser's native sharing picker. Tubelexity records locally after explicit permission and lets you pause, stop, preview and download. Tab/system audio depends on your browser, operating system and selected source; it is not always available.

Recording stays in this tab. Download before leaving. Permissions are requested only on Start. The browser chooses the available recording format; long recordings use device memory.

What does Screen Recorder do?

Use Screen Recorder for a short tutorial, walkthrough or bug demonstration. Choose whether to request tab/system audio and microphone input before starting. The page reports the shared source and whether the browser actually supplied system audio. Stopping screen sharing also stops recording.

How to use Screen Recorder

Browser and media limitations

  • Screen capture needs HTTPS and a supported browser; mobile support is limited.
  • System audio capture varies by OS, browser and selected source.
  • Paused recording still shares the source until Stop or Cancel.
  • Recordings remain in memory and stop at a 256 MB safety threshold; download each part.
  • Native WebM recordings may have incomplete duration/seek metadata in some players.

How local processing works

Camera, microphone and screen permissions are requested only after you press Start. The recording stays in browser memory and is not sent to Tubelexity. Stop or Cancel releases the input tracks; leaving the route also releases them. Download recordings before leaving.

Frequently asked questions

Does screen recording start when I open the page?

No. Press Start and explicitly select a source in the browser's sharing picker.

Why is system audio missing?

Your browser or OS may not expose it for that source. Try sharing a browser tab and enabling audio in the picker, when available.

Does stopping browser sharing stop the recording?

Yes. When the shared video track ends, Tubelexity stops the recording and releases the remaining input tracks.

Can I download MP4?

Only if the browser natively records a supported MP4 format. Otherwise download WebM and use Video Converter for an explicit local conversion.
