Video Transition Maker

Joins two local clips with a real crossfade, fade to black, fade from black, wipe or slide, then exports MP4. Both clips are scaled to one size and frame rate before the filter runs. Overlapping transitions shorten the result by the overlap. Processing stays in this browser.

Overlapping transitions last for the offset plus the second clip. Fade from black plays both clips in full, so the output is the sum of the durations. Both clips are fitted to one frame at 30 fps before the filter runs. A missing soundtrack is filled with silence.

What does Video Transition Maker do?

Video Transition Maker joins two local clips with a real filter: crossfade, fade to black, wipe left or right, or slide left or right. Fade from black fades the first clip out and the second clip in, then plays them in sequence. It is not an abrupt cut. Overlapping transitions start at the offset you set. The output length is that offset plus the second clip. Fade from black does not overlap, so its output length is the sum of both clips. Both pictures are fit into one frame and set to 30 fps before the filter runs. Missing audio is filled with silence so the join stays aligned.

How to use Video Transition Maker

  1. 1Upload the outgoing clip and the incoming clip.
  2. 2Choose the transition and its duration.
  3. 3Set where the overlap starts. Read the output duration before export.
  4. 4Export the MP4. Cancel stops the local job.

Supported inputs and outputs

Inputs

Two local videos

Outputs

One MP4 with the transition and a joined soundtrack

Practical uses

  • Crossfading two talking-head takes
  • Fading through black between scenes
  • Wiping or sliding from one local clip to the next

Browser and media limitations

  • Only the listed transitions are available. The join is a real filter, not a cut.
  • An overlapping transition discards the first clip's tail after the overlap ends.
  • Both clips are scaled to one size and 30 fps, so the sources are re-encoded.
  • A clip with no audio is padded with silence for the join. Very large files can exhaust memory.

How local processing works

Your media is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to Tubelexity for processing. The media engine downloads on first export. Page navigation and analytics still use network requests.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the exported video?

For an overlap, output duration is the transition offset plus the second clip. Fade from black adds the two durations because the clips do not overlap.

What if the clips differ in size or frame rate?

Both are fitted into one even frame, padded with your background color, and set to 30 fps before the transition.

Is fade to black just a cut?

No. Fade to black uses a through-black crossfade. Fade from black fades the first clip out and the second clip in.

Are the clips uploaded?

No. The join runs in this browser. The media engine downloads on first export.
